Lack of Updates :((

i'm very very sorry for the lack of updates in my blog ;____; i have been very busy with a lot of things lately.

i've been focusing on our play, Simang, in which i will be starring in. it's my very first major play and i really am working my butt off for this production. for those who are here in the Philippines, please take a breather and watch our play :3

when: March 2, Wednesday, 6PM to 8PM

where: CAP Building, 126 Amorsolo cor. V.A. Rufino Streets, Legaspi Village, Makati City... its at the back of makati cinema square parallel to mile long building near the ramp of the skyway exit.

how much: tickets are free when you are an iACADEMY student, and for outsiders, ticket prices are 50php.

and i'm also really been stressed because of my studies. when you're passionate about something, you can't help not neglect a bit of your school. i had a hard time studying for my midterms, because it's either i'm too tired to study, or that my mind is just not into it. i really hope i don't fail my WEBDES subject .___.

photo after i got home from the Baby Moon Lifestyle and Baby Moon Pawprints practice. i really need to get my roots bleached again @___@ but i’m  broke like a shattered vase :))

tomorrow’s the show. i’m really nervous since i’m gonna walk the ramp with a very beautiful labrador named Negra :) but i’m very fortunate that she’s the most obedient out of all the dogs that will be in the show. 

we were given alone time with the dogs so we can familiarize with each other. Ma’am Rue told us to go and pick out the dogs that we’d like to walk with. i always wanted to walk with a black lab, so i didn’t hesitate when ma’am requested  pair up with Negra. her owner was also very very nice :3 she gave me pointers and tips on how i can make Negra follow me on the catwalk. Negra is like me, she’ll only follow you if you have food :)) so throughout the practice i was giving her glazed doughnuts :))

okay so my mom just got home, and i am in a very bad mood. sometimes i really don't get her.

my mom. she’s the least bit enthusiastic about my achievements. when i got the main role in the school play, i told her, and she just brushed me off and said good job. then that was it. when i told her that i was chosen again to model in a photoshoot, she just said ok. then tomorrow is my fashion show, she’s not even going.

what do i need to do in order for you to be? i’m already so frustrated that i can’t even tell this to you straight because you’re barely home. i only see you and you have nothing to say to me but make fun of my fat body. 

maybe when i’m as perfect as you, you’ll learn to be proud of me.

trying some mild Gyaru makeup

first thing's first, that is my real hair :)) i curled it using the knot method, or the no-heat method. the front bangs were straightened.

this is what i looked like this morning, a few hours before the wedding of my beloved cousin, Joy Cara. i was her maid-of-honor :3 ♥ we waited years for this ;___;

i did the hair and makeup. i wanted someone else to do it, but everyone was busy :( oh well... i guess i can do better next time.

i had a really hard time concealing my eyebags. we all had less than 3 hours of sleep because of the pre-wedding party/sayawan. i couldn't sleep at all because of the blasting music :))

also, it was very hot this morning up until noon. my makeup melted every 5 minutes so i kept on retouching. lol.

i finally used Etude House's underlash. i had a hard time concealing the band, but with the use of my gel eyeliner, i finally mastered it XD

Expressing my emotions through Art...

this is the first time i meddled with my lil sister’s Photoshop. it’s hard doing designs using a touchpad ;_____;

i did this by drawing a simple swan figure (using the touchpad wtf) on a black background, i then used liquify to do the blazing fire effect.

for the colors, i first burned the image. i created another layer and set that to multiply. i filled the white lines using a mixing brush. i tried several colors ranging from oranges to reds.

i call this piece, FireSwan.

this burning swan symbolizes me right now. whenever i’m feeling an overwhelming emotion, i let it out through my arts. the reason why i chose a swan is because they are an epitome of grace and beauty. despite their tranquil feasting, they burn with a silent passion that contradicts with the water—the flow of life, in my case.

i am burning with passion that is often misunderstood and sometimes ignored.

My First Successful Vector Art

okay i exaggerate, but seriously, i consider this my first perfect vector art, and i made it by accident WTF.

i did this during the free time i had in our Print Design subject. the original version in in black and white, i decided to color it in since i really suck at coloring. i guess playing with gradient helps a bit .___.

finally, after 48+ hours of non-stop work, shedding huge amounts of blood, sweat and tears, after battling psychologically with life, the movie is now finished. 

i give all my heartfelt thanks to my groupmates, who gave me undying support, even though something terrible happened. i love you guys.

we finished our movie the night before the submission day, but unfortunately, during the last edits of the movie, the laptop i was using crashed. everything was deleted. it was 3AM in the morning-9 hours before the submission- but i couldn’t do anything.

i tried several recovering programs. fortunately, i was able to recover half of our movie, but the rest was permanently deleted…

my groupmates talked to our teacher, she let us pass it on some other day, but unfortunately, we cannot get a grade higher than the other group anymore. their grade was 95, so no matter how awesome our work was, it will all go to waste because of that malfuntion.

i’m deeply hurt about what happened. it wasn’t our intention to not pass it on the submission date. it was never our intention that the laptop crashed. i am hurt that all our efforts of trying to get a 97 or 98 has now vanished.

if only we were good at editing. unfortunately my editing skills are at par with a child’s, and the only tool i can use is Movie Maker. i fail as a Digital Arts student.
